Q: What are Pending Transactions?

A Pending Transaction is a transaction that has been submitted to your account, but is awaiting additional processing. When completed, it will become a Posted Transaction. The sum of Pending Transactions is subtracted from your Posted Balance, to determine your Available Balance. Some businesses, like gas stations, restaurants, and hotels, put a "hold" on some of your available funds until your purchase is finalized and posted to your account. This is also known as an "authorization", which protects the business until the exact amount of your transaction is determined and posted. Why was my transaction declined?

There are several reasons why a transaction might be declined. Check these items:

CardSwitch - Did you turn your CardSwitch ON before attempting a card transaction? For security, your Cashmo Card is OFF by default, until you turn it ON for an upcoming transaction. Sign in to your account to turn your CardSwitch ON or OFF, or change your CardSwitch Mode.

CardSwitch Mode - You can use CardSwitch settings to control if your card must be turned on for every transaction, or if you can spend up to $500 (per week) before having to turn your card on. In your account menu, select Card >> CardSwitch Settings.

Available Balance - Does your account have enough funds available for the transaction? Check your Available Balance by signing in to your account, or by viewing the most recent transaction notification sent to your email, which displays your Available Balance as of the time the notification was sent.

Account/Card Usage Limit - You might have reached one of these Cashmo account/card usage limits:

Standard Account Card Transactions: $3,000 per day / $5,000 per three days ATM Withdrawals: $325 per day

Limited Account Card Transactions: $3,000 per day / $5,000 per three days ATM Withdrawals: $325 per day Account & Card Transactions (combined): 4,000 per month

When will I get my new debit card?

Accepted Answer

After you successfully register for an account, you'll receive a Welcome Email with information about accessing your new account, and the ways you can add funds to your account. Once you've added at least $20 and it's posted to your account, we'll begin the process of enabling your Digital Card and producing your Classic Card.

The Digital Card is the electronic version of your debit card. Once it's enabled, you can use it right away. You'll receive another email with information about using your Digital Card online, and using mobile wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay on your smartphone.

The Classic Card is the plastic version of your debit card, for use with chip and swipe readers. Once the card is in production, it will typically arrive via US Mail within about 10 days.

How do I report a lost or stolen card?

If your card is lost or stolen, immediately sign in to your account and verify:

CardSwitch is OFF.
In CardSwitch Settings, your CardSwitch Mode is set to Require CardSwitch ON for all transactions.

This helps prevent unauthorized use of your card.

If you find your card, you can continue using it by temporarily turning CardSwitch ON as needed for transactions.
